Bignami Veltri Jazz Ensemble celebrates the release of their very first studio album "Non-Places" premiering the music live at the center for Dansk Jazz historie. “Non-Places,” first introduced by French anthropologist Marc Augé, are spaces such as airports and shopping malls that are transient and anonymous. These environments lack historical depth and emotional resonance, existing primarily through their function. Their anonymity invites us to reflect on the nature of our surroundings, where the fast pace of modern life can impact our connection to history, to one another, and ultimately to ourselves.
The pieces in the album, composing the concrt's repertoire will try to translate these concepts and feelings taking you on a journey through an in-depth research of modern soundscapes without forgetting about the tradition of jazz big band music.
The concert is supported by #kodakultur, Dansk Kapelmesterforening, Aalborg Kommune.
