DE NYE TALENTER PÅ JAZZCENTRET:
Kinima is a saxophone, double bass and drum trio dedicated to exploring original music through a collaborative, improvisation-based approach to music making. The group met and formed in New York City but its members hail from all corners of the globe, with bassist Kate Pass from Australia, drummer Anders Julsgaard from Denmark, and saxophonist Liz Hocking from Aotearoa New Zealand. Their performance acknowledges elements of jazz, classical and improvised music traditions, whilst providing a contemporary take on music making across genres, with repertoire based on compositions and improvisations from each member of the band.
