Dette er den første i en række koncerter, der præsenterer nogle af unge nye jazztalenter på Jazzcentret i de kommende måneder.
Luka stammer fra Georgien, og han har de sidste par år haft sin gang på Musikkonservatoriet. Vi har haft fornøjelsen af hans spillevende klaverspil i flere forskellige sammenhænge, som swingpianist med Gytis Girdauskas, i Uffe Markussens bebopkvartet, og senest i et jamband med Yannick Ballmann og en håndfuld medstuderende.
I dag danner Luka duo med vores rumænske bratschist Marius Ungureanu, og så vil alt kunne ske.

Märchenbilder is a sound-journey through a multi-layered musical landscape, inviting the audience to a wholehearted, yet humble celebration of music, unrestricted by what others might find fitting or befitting. It is playful and daring, risky and exploratory, reverent and questioning – AND always guided by a deep belief in music.
The repertory we came up with, is aimed to smoothen out the boundaries of music genres, create new resonances between the different genres, countries, centuries – thus creating a dreamily communion, diving deeper into the music as whole, always aspiring to achieve that the “magic binds again, what custom strictly divided”.
