EYAL LOVETT TRIO

  • Center for Dansk Jazzhistorie Kjellerupsgade 2 Aalborg Danmark (map)

Israel born Eyal Lovett Is one of the most exciting jazz pianists and band leaders currently active in Europe. He was chosen as 2017 "Artist of the Year" by Jazzy Berlin. In June 2018 the Eyal Lovett Trio won the 1st place at the international competition JazzWings in Warsaw.
Eyal's music is focused on storytelling, deep and thoughtful compositions, and mesmerizing performance and execution. Eyal's music ties a link between East and West, jazz, classical  and Middle Eastern music. Influenced by the likes of Bill Evans, Brad Mehldau, as well as Avishai Cohen, Shai Maestro and Gilad Hekselman, Eyal's music has a "classical" architecture and development, jazz based chords, complex rhythms, and enchanting Mediterranean melodies.
Torben Bjørnskov on bass and Aidan Lowe on drums form a tight rhythm section with a wide emotional range and a deep groove. The band has been playing to increasingly bigger audiences for the past 8 years throughout Europe, and always gives an unforgettable  performance.

Eyal Lovett (ISR/DK) - klaver
Torben Bjørnskov - bas
Aidan Keith Lowe (AU/DE) - trommer
