After their debut concerts in spring 2023, and their first release "Epitaphs from the Hill" on August 18th, composers and Bandleaders Anna Bignami and Laura Veltri present their new project "Childhood Memories". Their 9-piece group, the "Bignami Veltri Jazz Ensemble", will perform the newly written music in Lille Sal (Aarhus Musikhuset) on 26 March 2024 and in Center for Danish Jazz History, Aalborg, 27 March 2024. In this project, composers Anna Bignami and Laura Veltri take their own childhood memories as a starting point to create a concert experience that focuses on childhood in relation to adulthood: How does our childhood have an influence on our upbringing? What are the events, emotions, moments that developed strongly who we would later be? The composers will take their audience on an emotional musical journey that stretches from nostalgia for the most innocent childhood memories to the beginning of their passion for music.
